The fully molded, spherical design provides a high pressure rating with the added benefit of a non-clogging, long radius arch configuration.

The steel flanges easily rotate on the bellows which makes it easier to line up the bolt holes during installation when mating flanges are out of line. No separate retaining rings are ever required.

Ideal in heating and air conditioning systems where low initial cost and maximum reliability are a must.

Maxi-Sphere is available in the sizes HVAC contractors require most often.

Elastomers

Neoprene Cover - Provides excellent resistance to oxidation, ozone and sunlight aging. Protects expansion joint from dripping oil.

Neoprene Tube - Good for hot and cold water service, mild chemicals and oils.

Some sizes available in Chlorobutyl.

Flanges

Maxi-Sphere expansion joints are furnished with zinc plated steel flanges drilled to ANSI dimensions. They rotate easily on the bellows which allows for simple bolt alignment. Bolt holes are clearance type. Tighten flange bolts only enough to achieve a seal. Do not allow metal to metal contact of metal flanges.

NOTE: Some sizes may be furnished with GALVANIZED ductile iron flanges.

NOTE: Maximum pressure rating is based on 170°F operating temperature.
